This page is for buyers who want to know who is behind Spain Developments, and why we work the way we do.

In short: The Costa del Sol has more agents than you could ever speak to, and each one tells you something different. Most buyers end up buried in information, pulled in ten directions, and so overwhelmed that they freeze. Some give up and buy nothing at all. We built Spain Developments to be the opposite of that: one honest, independent guide who cuts through the noise so you can actually move forward.

The problem we set out to fix

Buying here should be exciting, but the process often works against the buyer.

• The market here is almost entirely unregulated. Since so many people moved to the coast after the boom, agents have flooded in, and almost anyone can set up as one overnight, with no exam, no licence, and often little real experience. Everyone starts somewhere, and that is fine. The real problem is that many are still learning while acting like they know everything, all while chasing a good commission. We would rather be honest about what we do and do not know, and that alone is a reason to be careful who you trust.
• You get buried in listings and conflicting advice, until it is genuinely hard to know what is true, or even where to start.
• That leads to paralysis. Many buyers spend months going in circles, and some give up on the dream entirely, not because the right home was not out there, but because nobody helped them see it clearly.
• On top of that, the system can quietly favour the seller, from lawyers recommended for a kickback to foreign buyers being gently pushed.

We thought buyers deserved someone firmly on their side, to make all of that simple.

What we stand for

A few principles guide everything we do, and we hold to them even when they cost us a sale.

• Honest. We tell you the downsides, and say plainly when a home, or a developer, is not right for you.
• Clear. We turn an overwhelming market into a short, sane shortlist, explained in your own language.
• Free to you. The developer pays our fee, and the price is the same as going direct.
• For the long run. Our job does not end at the keys.

How we work today

We are an independent buyer's agent covering the whole Costa del Sol, working in English, Czech and Polish. We find and secure the right new-build for you, point you to an independent lawyer who pays us nothing, and look after you long after completion through our own rental and property management. We are a young company, growing carefully, and adding more advisors and languages as we go.
