Benalmádena sits at the heart of the western Costa del Sol, split between the lively coastal strip of Benalmádena Costa, the inland hub of Arroyo de la Miel, and the white village of Benalmádena Pueblo above. Its marina — Puerto Marina — is one of the most photographed in Spain, and the town's mix of beaches, theme parks and family attractions makes it a perennial holiday-let favourite.
The market is largely apartment-led, with strong short-let demand close to the marina and beaches, plus townhouses and some villas in the hillside urbanisations. Good transport links, including the Málaga train line, add to its appeal for both investors and permanent residents.

Benalmádena packs a lot into a small area: the marina's bars and restaurants, a cable car up to the mountaintop, family theme parks, and a beachfront promenade — all linked to Málaga by the coastal train. The village above offers quieter, more traditional streets with sweeping coastal views.
Benalmádena is one of the coast's strongest short-let markets thanks to its marina, beaches and family attractions, particularly for well-located apartments near Puerto Marina and the seafront.
The Cercanías coastal train runs through Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena, reaching Málaga city and the airport in around 25-30 minutes.
